Green Bay Storm trounce Manitowoc Bandits

The Manitowoc Bandits were unable to break their losing streak, as they were defeated 10-0 by the Green Bay Storm on Friday night.

GREEN BAY, WI- The Manitowoc Bandits were unable to break their losing streak, as they were defeated 10-0 by the Green Bay Storm on Friday night.

Storm pitcher Jake McMahon threw a shutout against the Bandits and only allowed one hit.

The Storm took the lead early on and never looked back. They scored two runs in the first inning when Kevin Grant singled with two outs.

One positive note for the Bandits was a single by Brandon Glaeser in the first inning.

McMahon earned the win for the Storm. He threw eight innings, giving up zero runs, one hit, striking out ten and walking one. Brett Reinhart took the loss for the Bandits. He went two innings, giving up two runs, three hits, striking out three and walking one.

The Storm collected a total of 13 hits in the game. Grant, Ethan Bartels, Hunter Larson, Tom Sawyer and Mitch Eagan each collected multiple hits. In addition, Derek Klegin, Grant and Bartels each drove in two runs for the Storm.

The Northeastern Wisconsin Baseball League is a top-tier, wooden bat, adult semi-professional baseball league located in northeastern Wisconsin. Players in the league are considered amateur status, are not paid and consist mostly of current college baseball players, as well as former college and professional players.
